Campaign Photography
This photograph is called it stops with me anti racism campaign. The photograph was taken by Nicolas McComber and it was taken in November 2013. My feelings for this image are that I like it because he said that "You're wrong, Google". They are saying black people are failures and a disgrace. I think the photographer made this image because people are saying different comments about black people. The man does not look aggressive and he is not angry, It is like someone put there hand over his mouth and they are saying all these things. The exposure for this image is that it is not that bright and not that dark. The background is grey and that is a dull feeling and the lighting is on his face. The photograph was taken in a studio .
This photograph was taken in 2002 for the national assembly against racism. This picture is saying we are all the same people and we are equal no matter the colour of your skin. The background of the image is black and there is a monkey and we are part of them. The photograph is under exposed on the right side while on the left side it is exposed. On the left side it is much brighter than the right side.
The title of this image is 'Your smoking harms you child'. The photograph was taken by the National health service (NHS) and Nadav Kander. The photograph was made to show that smoking can harm people and children. The hand is suffocating the child and when someone smokes in front of a child that is harming and suffocating the child . Smoking should not happen in a public place because it can affect people and that is what the NHS is saying.
Plan1: Anti Smoking Campaign
For my first shoot I am going to use or need:
- A cigarette as a prop.
- Then I am going to take the image inside.
- After I have taken the images I will upload it to my website.
- Then I will analyse my images from best to worst.
- Next I am going to edit my photograph on Photoshop.
- Then I am going to insert a quote “Every time you light up a cigarette, you are saying your life isn’t worth living.
Shoot1- Anti smoking
Best Image:This image that I took was my best photograph because my aperture was correct and the image had a view point and the exposure was normal.
|
Worst Image:This image that I took inside is under-exposed because of my ISO. I made this error because I was trying to see what ways I could take the image.

Images for Shoot 2 : Anti Bullying
Best ImageThis picture is my best image because it is in focus and it stands out more. This photograph is not over exposed. The angle I took the photo made the image look better. The photograph was taken outside in school.
|
Worst ImageThis picture is my worst because it is not well positioned and it is tilted. The reflection is evident from the glasses. This image does not stand out that much. It is not clear enough and you can not see what is written on the hand.

Evaluation of campaign photography:
For my evaluation of my campaign photography, I did a lot of work and put a lot of effort into all of the shoots. The shoots were easy to do but the problem was photoshop because I had never used it before and it was the first time. I had to do some research on how to use photoshop. Campaign photography was the hardest because I found it very difficult to come up with ideas. This was my best Image because it was focused and it stands out.
